HSU Invites Community to Cowboys Basketball Watch Party Friday for NCAA Sweet 16 Game
Event will be held in Johnson Multipurpose Room
(Abilene, Texas) HSU is inviting the community to join the excitement on Friday night at the Cowboy Basketball Watch Party as the men’s basketball team takes on Whitman in Marietta, Ohio, in the NCAA sectional.
The watch party will be at 4 p.m. in the Johnson Multipurpose room in the Johnson Building. Popcorn, soda, and waters will be available.
HSU earned its first ever trip to the NCAA sectional round following wins over Emory and LaGrange hosted on campus in the Mabee Complex over the past weekend. The Cowboys will play No. 1 ranked Whitman (29-0). Hardin-Simmons is a school-record 24-6 on the year. The other game on Friday will feature No. 13 Rochester (23-4) and No. 7 ranked Marietta (26-4).
The winners from Friday’s games will play on Saturday at 6 CT for the right to go to the Final Four in Salem, Va.
