Dr. Emily Row Prevost
2000/2002 Bachelor of Arts in Bible/Master of Arts in Religion
As a first generation college student, I had no idea what to expect. Now, I cannot imagine my life without my experience at HSU. My professors became mentors, encouragers, and guides along my journey. The days I spent on campus were so formative in shaping who I have become, the way I work, how I understand my calling to serve Jesus Christ and the people I encounter daily."
As director of Leadership Development at East Texas Baptist University (ETBU), Emily Prevost oversees the curricular and co-curricular
leadership development program for students. Emily is known for her extraordinary skills for relationships, visionary leadership, practical ministry, and strategic planning.
A first generation college student, Dr. Prevost holds a Ph.D. in Leadership Studies from Dallas Baptist University (2009). Her thesis
and dissertation research on Sabbath and Quality of Life for Ministers, respectively, have helped shaped her life and ministry as she has served with Woman's Missionary Union of Texas, Texas Baptists (BGCT), and Buckner Children and Family Services.
Emily and her husband, Blair, live in Marshall where they are actively involved at First Baptist Church and in their local community.
