More From Your Counselor:
Hi, my name is Crissy Duncan, and I am the Hardin-Simmons
Admission Counselor for the Weatherford, Ft. Worth, Arlington, Waco and Denton
graduated in May of 2000, with a Bachelor of Behavioral Science in Church
Ministry and a minor in Leadership Studies.
As an undergraduate, HSU was always one of the places I
wanted to return as an employee.
My experience on campus was one that changed my life and was the place where I
first heard Gods call to spend the rest of my life investing in the lives of
the next generation. During my time at HSU I was a part of many unique
organizations throughout campus, all of which helped me to grow as an
individual. It was then and still is now important to me to have community and
a place to learn and grow and HSU continues to provide this with faculty/staff
who are genuinely interested in my wellbeing. Walking across our beautiful
campus, it’s inevitable you’ll see familiar faces smiling, saying hello, or
extending their arms for hugs. The HSU family is a great place to belong!
grew up in Abilene, graduating from Wylie High School and my family continues
to reside in the Abilene area, so this is my home and it’s good to be
back! Before arriving at the ’40
acres,’ I worked in church ministry (10 yrs), taught at a private Christian
elementary school in Georgia and started my own small art business teaching art
to children and families.
what to do after high school is one of the most important decisions you will
make. I loved spending my undergraduate
years at Hardin-Simmons University and am so excited to be able to share
my experiences with you! Give
me a call or email me if you have any questions, or come see HSU for yourself
to get a feel for campus—it’s beautiful and worth a visit!
