Effective January 2011, Texas legislation mandates that every new student and transfer student will be required to have a Meningitis Vaccination at least 10 days prior to living in campus housing or starting classes.

Unless otherwise indicated, beds are built-in and cannot be moved. Beds are 3'6" x 6'7", not including the headboard and contain a standard twin size mattress. Every bed has a headboard shelf which is the width of the bed and 10" deep. On the desks, the desktop measures 4' x 2'3". Beside each desk is a small shelf which measures 2'9" x 1'. Each closet is approximately 5'6" x 2' deep. The windows are 3'5" wide and approximately 6' tall.

 

Other features of Ferguson Hall are its large lobby which has TV/DVD/BLU-RAY entertainment, a fully equipped kitchen located off of the lobby and a fully equipped laundry room. Washer loads are $1.00 per load and dryer are $.75 per load and are One Card/Cowboy Cash operated.

All community baths, halls and the lobby area are cleaned daily by HSU's housekeeping staff (ABM).

Residents are allowed to have a refrigerator in their rooms but NOT a microwave.  There are microwaves available to residents in the dorm lobby.  All refrigerators must be 4.0 cubic feet or smaller in size.
