I love HSU because of how personable the faculty and staff are with the students. I enjoyed going to class and the teachers helping us individually and not always as a whole. I transferred to HSU, and where I came from, I was just known by my last 4 of my social. They did not take the time to get to know us and help us with the areas we wanted to strive; at Hardin-Simmons I got that. Being a Christian, it was important to go to a school where our education WAS “enlightened by Faith”.

I recently married Tim Schmidt, dorm director of Anderson Hall, whom I met here while at Hardin-Simmons, we also are active at Pioneer Drive Baptist Church.
