Hardin-Simmons is a great place to be no matter where you are on campus. As a student, I enjoyed my time at HSU because I had the feeling that my professors were looking out for my best interest. The faculty and staff were both friend and teacher, which provided trust and made the experience better. HSU is a decent size because you are not just another student to go through the program; people actually take the time to learn your name and story. This allows both the student and professor to learn something in the long run. My experience at HSU was so positive, that I wanted to be on the campus so that I could be apart of the family and help out as well. Now, I have that opportunity.

I’m originally from Biloxi, MS, and I am one of those “military brats.” After living in Germany for 5 years, we moved to Abilene in 1989 and have been here since. I attended Abilene High and participated in the girl’s soccer program. After graduating in 1999, I went to CJC for 2 years and then finally transferred to HSU in the Fall of 2002. I graduated from HSU in May of 2005 with a BA in Biology/Psychology and about 3-4 months later, I was hired at Prestige Imaging here in Abilene doing MRI type work. After working at Prestige for nearly 2 years, I decided I wanted to come back to HSU, because I enjoyed my experience so much, and now I have that opportunity.
