As an undergraduate, HSU was one of the places I wanted to return as an employee. I always felt the faculty/staff were helpful, courteous and genuinely interested in my success. And now that I am on staff at the ’40 acres’, I have found that to be absolutely true! The HSU family offers encouragement and support to one another through the good times as well as difficulties we may face. HSU provides a Christian environment for faculty, staff and students to grow and learn. Walking across our beautiful campus it’s inevitable you’ll see familiar faces smiling, saying hello, or extending their arms for hugs. The HSU family is a great place to belong!

Before arriving at the ’40 acres’ I worked in public accounting (2 yrs) and property management/real estate sales (10 yrs). I currently serve on the finance committee for Pregnancy Resources of Abilene. In addition to being part of the HSU family, my husband and I are a part of the Beltway Park Baptist Church family where we are very involved in Family, Youth and Children’s Ministry. We have a daughter (Sarah) and son-in-law (Geoffrey) currently attending HSU, another daughter (Katie) that is a senior and varsity cheerleader & squad captain at Abilene High School, and a third daughter (Julianne) in the 3rd grade at Lee Elementary.
