Class Of: 2013

Sophomore
Social Work & Ministry
Temple, Tx

I chose to come to Hardin-Simmons because I felt like this is where God wanted me. I knew He was going to do big things here, both in my life and on campus. I have yet to be disappointed in my choice.

Through the school’s vast connections in the community and incredible on-campus activities, I have found many fulfilling and cultivating programs with which to be involved and have found myself growing professionally and spiritually in these invaluable experiences. Also, with such a small student to professor ratio, I have found the personal involvement of professors to be a great encouragement and benefit in my educational experience and spiritual journey.

Not only is HSU a place that goads young minds, it is also a warm, friendly environment with a great sense of community. I have made friends here that I know I will keep for a lifetime, and I have the relational environment of Hardin-Simmons to thank. I would not trade my experience here for the world.

The Six White Horses bear the six flags which have flown over the state of Texas, representing 8 changes of sovereignty. The Six White Horses have been featured along side the Cowboy Band and have marched in parades throughout Texas and the world; in the inaugural parades of 5 American presidents, Brazil, Russia, and down famous streets as New York’s Broadway.
