Baptist Student Ministry (BSM), also known as Office of Student Ministries, is a student organization dedicated to
helping students build life-changing relationships with others while deepening one’s personal relationship with
God. This is done through a variety of activities, events, and ministries:
Student-led Bible studies/discipleship groups
Campus Night of Worship
Free lunch ministry
Student-led worship team
Mission trips, retreats, and state/local conferences
These activities are a regular part the BSM schedule. All students are invited to participate in any BSM sponsored
event or ministry.
The Office of Student Ministries/Baptist Student Ministry is planned and directed by the director of student
ministries. Students chosen to be on the BSM Leadership Team assist the director in organizing the various
ministries and events. Offices are located in the Connally Missions Center.
Abilene has many churches with strong collegiate ministries. Although the Office of Student Ministries does not
endorse any specific church or ministry, students are encouraged to find a local church home. Area churches are
invited to be a part of an information fair during New Student Orientation week and to advertise their schedules in
the campus newspaper.
