ODIFICATIONS
In accordance with policies and procedures of Hardin-Simmons University, the director of physical
plant operations must approve any building modification or repair. This is to prevent individual
departments from making building renovations that might be in violation of fire codes, building
codes, or disturb asbestos-containing building materials or lead-based paint.
Depending on the nature of the request, the approval of the senior vice president of finance/chief
operating officer may also be required, particularly if there is a change in space use or
classification.
