Upperclass Students

The Wolf & University Place Apartment Complexes are HSU’s on-campus apartment options and are available to single undergraduate students who have already completed their 4 semesters of required residency and/or are 21-years old. These apartments are also available to HSU graduate students that are single. Spaces are leased utilizing a lottery process each Spring. The apartment complexes do fill up quickly, however, vacancies sometimes occur. Please use the link below to complete the Hardin-Simmons University House & Apartment Interest Form, which is used to fill these vacancies after the yearly lottery process.

  • Single Student Rates for 2016 - 2017
    1. Single Bedroom in a Shared Unit is $1250 per semester
      A bedroom in a 4 bedroom/2 bathroom apartment for example. Most of the spaces available fall into this category where the Student Resident will have a private bedroom and share the common areas and bathroom(s) with at least one other resident.
    2. Shared Bedroom in a Shared Unit is $1050 per semester
      This is for the 2 bedroom/2 bathroom in the University Place Apartments. The bedrooms are very large and can accommodate 2 students and their belongings.
    3. Single Bedroom in a Private Unit is $2100 per semester
      This is the rate for the 1 bedroom/1 bathroom apartments and houses.
    4. Wolf Apartment Rate is $2100 per semester
      This is the rate for all Wolf Units. These spaces offer Student Residents a private bedroom, a bathroom, and shared common areas with at least one other resident.

    University Place Apartment Amenities
    The UP Apartments come fully furnished with upholstered couch and chairs in the living room. The bedrooms are furnished with twin size beds and each Student Resident will have a bed, desk, chair, and two-drawer chest of drawers. The kitchen comes with a refrigerator/freezer, ice maker, oven, stove, and dishwasher. The UP Apartments are climate controlled utilizing central heat and air conditioning units controlled by the residents. The units do not have washer and dryer hookups, however, there is a laundromat on site. The apartment complex is gated and uncovered parking is offered on site.

    Wolf Apartment Amenities
    The Wolf Apartments are bi-level row houses. The living room, small dining area, and kitchen is on the first floor, while both bedrooms and both bathrooms are located on the second floor. These units are unfurnished, with the Student Resident supplying their own furniture. The kitchens come equipped with a refrigerator/freezer, stove, oven, and dishwasher. In addition these units come equipped with a washer and dryer on the second floor. The units are climate controlled utilizing central heat and air conditioning units controlled by the residents.

    University Place Utilities
    UP Student Residents are only responsible for electricity service. Each student will be billed a flat rate of $150 per semester. It is important to note that if the Student Resident’s actual usage exceeds the flat rate each semester their student account will be billed for the difference.

    Wolf Apartment Utilities
    Electricity and water services are all connected in the University’s name and the Student Resident will be billed monthly for these services to their student account in the HSU Business Office. If cable service is desired the Student Resident can arrange for these services on their own with any provider that they choose. These services cannot be billed to the Student Resident’s account in the Business Office.

The state requires that all incoming new students under the age of 22 must have the meningitis vaccine within the last 5 years and at least 10 days prior to the first day of class. In addition, Hardin-Simmons University requires every new incoming student under 22 years of age provide proof of the meningitis vaccine prior to registering for classes.
