    Night of Networking.

    The event will offer a unique opportunity for our HSU students to converse with alumni professionals in a “speed networking" format. What does that mean? Students would be in groups of 3 and will have a set amount of time to sit and talk with alumni. Appetizers will be served. This program is in partnership with Alumni Relations and Advancement.

    We would like to welcome all students to an informational session to gain understanding about the Department of Family and Protective Services, the services we provide, and also our various employment opportunities. We have several areas within the agency including Child Protective Services, Adult Protective Services and Child Care Licensing. We welcome students from all areas. Some of the degrees that our current employees have are Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Criminal Justice, Education and Business Administration, just to name a few. Please join us to see how you might be able to make an impact in protecting our most vulnerable citizens.

    The West Central Texas Career Consortium (WCTCC) is comprised of seven colleges and universities in the Abilene, TX area. The schools represented are Abilene Christian University, Angelo State University, Cisco College, Hardin-Simmons University, Howard Payne University, McMurry University, Texas State Technical College, and Dyess Air Force Base. The Virtual Career Fair is designed for organizations actively seeking prospects for professional positions as well as internships. The event is a convenient, cost-effective career fair.
