  • HSU’s Academic Advising Mission Statement

The advising program guides students in the development of meaningful educational plans compatible with a student’s personal values, life goals and career plans for a life of Christian service and leadership. Committed to providing students the information, resources, and assistance needed to accomplish these goals, HSU recognizes that ultimately the responsibility for making decisions about educational plans rests with the student.

Welcome to the Academic Advising Center! Our mission is to serve the needs of those students who

    • are undeclared undergraduate students
    • are transfer students who do not have a major
    • are considering changing their field of study
    • are seeking academic accommodations

The Advising Center is prepared to make your college career as smooth as possible by explaining the general core requirements, helping you schedule your classes or clarifying your goals and options. The Center provides one-on-one help for making decisions about changing majors in cooperation with the Office of Career Services.
