Welcome to the Forty Acres

Lacy Richards, an HSU biology major, has joined the facilities staff. She attends Wylie Baptist Church and enjoys reading, fishing, wakeboarding, and being outside.

 

Melanie Brewer has moved from the student development area over to finance and management as human resource/accounting assistant. Melanie holds a B.B.A. with specialization in accounting from Wayland Baptist University and received her M.B.A. from HSU in 1998. She and husband Jacob (HSU asst. professor of physical therapy) have three children and attend Beltway Park Baptist Church. She enjoys reading, sewing, and spending time with family and friends.

 

New campus police officer Kenneth Patterson comes to HSU from Western marketing and has worked for the Jones County Sheriff’s Office and for the Anson and Hawley police departments. Kenneth, a previous HSU student, is a history buff and attends Wylie Methodist Church.

 

Abby Baggett has joined Enrollment Services as an admissions consultant. She is a December 2006 HSU grad with a B.B.S. in English education and communication. Abby attends Beltway Park Baptist Church, enjoys photography, music, skiing, painting, musicals, yoga, David Letterman and his humor, and is learning to play piano and guitar.

 

Brynn Reynolds is the new receptionist for Enrollment Services. She is a December 2006 HSU grad with a B.B.S. in communication. Brynn isn’t a new face in the Enrollment Services area—she has been a student worker there since her freshman year.

Congratulations to Drs. Lynnette and Kent Chambers on the birth of daughter Julia Faith. She arrived Feb. 7, weighing in at 7 pounds and was 19-3/4 inches long. Lauren is assoc. professor of voice and Kent is asst. professor of chemistry/environmental science.
