University Students and Prospective Employers Meet for Job Ops

Tuesday, September 11, 2012

University students looking for local jobs will have a chance to meet with prospective employers this week who are looking for part-time workers. The Part-Time Job Fair is Wednesday, September 12, 2012, from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m., on the Hardin-Simmons University campus. Employers will set up booths next to the pond in the center of the campus.

This is an excellent opportunity for students from Abilene’s three private universities, as well as Cisco College, and TSTC, to connect with local employers looking to fill part-time positions.

The event is sponsored by the West Central Texas Career Consortium, www.wctcc.org. The West Central Texas Career Consortium (WCTCC) is comprised of career services professionals from seven colleges and universities. The consortium meets regularly for professional development and also hosts career events for students throughout the year.

Students will also have a chance to win $50 Visa gift cards during the event.
