Graduate Dean’s Award of Excellence Awarded to HSU Admissions Consultant

The Graduate Dean’s Award of Excellence is awarded by Hardin-Simmons University at the winter commencement to an outstanding graduate student. The recipient is selected from nominations from all graduate programs and is presented to the individual who has excelled as a student, typifies the character and behavior consistent with HSU’s mission and purpose, and has shown potential to excel in his or her field of study.

The winner of this year’s Graduate Dean’s Award of Excellence is Grant Greenwood, who has proven himself as an outstanding student in the Master of Business Administration program. Greenwood has maintained a perfect GPA while working full time as an undergraduate recruiter for HSU.

Greenwood holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a major in economics from Hardin-Simmons University. In addition to being an outstanding student, he is a published author having written an article for the Journal of College Admission. In this article, he explored trends in the use of social media in higher education.

Grant is originally from Rowlett, Texas. He and his wife Sierra, who also graduated with a master’s degree during the same ceremony, now reside in Abilene. His parents are Alan and Donna Greenwood.
