Peggy Manning has been one of Abilene’s premier real estate agents for almost four decades. Senter Realtors recently recognized Manning as Agent of the Year and as the Top Producer of 2012, overseeing more than $20 million in real estate sales. Manning has been named numerous times as “Abilene’s Favorite Realtor” by the Abilene Reporter-News Reader’s Choice Awards.
She is a member of the Texas Association of Realtors, the National Board of Realtors, as well as the Abilene Board of Realtors.
Manning has committed herself and dedicated her time to countless hours of service to the Abilene community, serving on the Military Affairs Committee of the Chamber of Commerce, the Better Business Bureau Board of Directors, the Crime Stoppers board, the Abilene Civic Center board, and the Board of Directors for the West Texas Rehabilitation Center.
She also gives her time to the Abilene Cultural Affairs Committee, the Rotary Club of Abilene, and has also served on the Hendrick Home for Children Development Council and the Board of Directors for Goodwill Industries.
Manning attended Hardin-Simmons University in the early ‘60s where she met her future husband, Royce Manning.
Royce also dedicates much time and effort to community service. He is a member of the Kiwanis Club of Abilene, has served on the HSU Board of Development from 2008 to 2010, and has served as a director on the board of the Taylor County Expo Center.
They have one son, Brad, a 1985 graduate of HSU with a BBA in accounting. His wife, Monica (Adrion), is a 1986 HSU grad with a Bachelor of Education degree in elementary education.
The Mannings have two grandchildren, Jacob, 19, a junior at Texas Tech University, Lubbock; and Samuel, 13, who is in the 8th grade.
The Mannings are members of Pioneer Drive Baptist Church in Abilene.
