Carrie Jones was born in Galveston, TX. She attended high school at Incarnate Word Academy in Corpus Christi, TX. Following high school, Jones began working on her Bachelor of Fine Arts with a concentration in photography at Texas A&M University –Corpus Christi. Shortly after completing her BFA, Jones began the process of acquiring her Master of Fine Arts with a concentration in photography at Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi. During this time she had the pleasure of traveling to Florence, Italy to do a study abroad at the Santa Reperata School of Fine Arts. Jones completed her MFA in the Fall of 2010. Carrie served as an adjunct professor of photography at Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi for one semester before moving to Abilene as Assistant Professor of Photography at Hardin Simmons University.
