The bricks and mortar of its buildings, and the trees and gardens of the forty acres make Hardin-Simmons a pretty place to go to school. The people of Hardin-Simmons make it a beautiful place to live, study and work. Students will find that faculty teach to a standard of excellence, giving them personal attention, and expressing genuine care and concern for the student in their academic and personal life. The staff is supportive of faculty and students, helping anyone in need. The life blood of the campus flows on the moral bedrock of faith, instilled with hope and love. The doors of opportunity are wide open here. As a faculty member I feel I contribute to those possibilities. What I contribute to the community as a teacher, as a friend, or as an administrator is valued. I feel truly blessed to belong to such a wonderful place.
I am married to Dr. Richard Trifilo, an Occupational Medicine specialist. We have two children: Greg, a physician and Captain in the Air Force, and Colleen, a third year law student. We spent 26 years in the Air Force traveling the world. I was fortunate to teach what I enjoy in everyplace we lived. I love to travel the world and have my sights on Antarctica and the Galapagos Islands. I love anything that involves sports. I play golf, tennis, racquetball, snow ski, and hike. I enjoy camping and being outdoors.
