One of my favorite things about HSU is the support of the academic programs which the administration gives. This support is both financial and personal. As a faculty member and chair of the Art Department, I have confidence that my concerns for our program are shared and listened to by the administration to the degree that positive action is quickly taken. This support was one of my primary reasons for coming to this fine university. When administration and faculty are on the same page in their goals for student learning, the students benefit from a first class educational experience, and that is what Hardin-Simmons provides. I am also very pleased with the quality of students HSU attracts. It is encouraging to see the breadth of creativity and passion young people bring to our program. The camaraderie and unity of faculty and students is refreshing and rare.
