Hardin-Simmons is the type of school I wish that I could have attended when I did my undergraduate degree. The faculty and administration here genuinely care about the students and treat them as people rather than as numbers on a page. HSU is a good Christian work environment. As someone who has worked extensively in the secular world, I greatly appreciate the Christian attitude present at this university. After graduating from the University Alaska, I worked as a section manager for an environmental lab for a year before being hired as a field product development chemist for Exxon Chemical Corporation. After working for Exxon for five years, I returned to school and obtained a masters degree in Environmental Management and a PhD in Chemistry. I began teaching for Hardin Simmons in the fall semester of 1999.
