What a joy to be a member of the Hardin-Simmons University Department of Physical Therapy family! I feel extremely blessed to be able to constantly interact with students and challenge them to be the best physical therapists ever. As Director of Clinical Education, I have the unique privilege of working one-on-one with the students to establish their clinical experiences. It is so fulfilling to see them “bloom and grow” while on their clinical rotations with every experience adding to their maturity level, both personally and professionally. I also enjoy teaching the pediatrics course and seeing the excitement build in those interested in pursuing pediatrics. During the fall semester I facilitate an Introduction to Physical Therapy course. This course confirms the students’ convictions and passions for PT or helps them determine that their gifts and talents are better suited in another field. All in all, I have a delightful and challenging position on our faculty and am eternally grateful for all of God’s blessings.
