Being a professor at Hardin-Simmons University is a great blessing to me. Having taught at a large state university, I know first-hand the advantages Hardin-Simmons offers, both to faculty and students. The advantages include not only small classes, but personal contact with students. The opportunity to build mentoring relationships with students is rewarding and vital to the overall academic environment. Similarly, academic excellence is an expectation at HSU. The faculty take teaching and scholarship seriously, and so do students. We all want a degree from HSU to mean something, to be held in high regard by students, parents and future employers. The HSU family is working hard to further the reputation of “an education enlightened by faith.”
