I came to Hardin-Simmons University June 1, 2000. My wife and I had been away from Texas for seven years. We had ministered in Alaska, worked with a minister in church leadership training in Tennessee, I then taught for a small Lutheran college in Western Pennsylvania. We knew it was time to return home to Texas and the Lord led us here. Thank you Lord.

As a teacher, I relate to the sower in the New Testament. "A sower went out to sow his seed...." At HSU we have students with fertile minds. The seed finds good ground and sprang up and bares fruit. Our prayer is that the students find their way to in turn become sowers of seed. Sow the seed and pray the Lord of the Harvest, that He would send forth laborers into his harvest.
