John Hill joined the Kelly College of Business faculty at Hardin-Simmons University in the fall of 1998. Beyond his commitment to teaching, his interest in economics takes many forms. He has served an Abilene City Councilman, consults and provides expert testimony to attorneys in the area of economic damages, and is a multifamily property real estate investor. John serves his community as a board member of the Abilene Cultural Affairs Council and is the chairman of this group’s Outdoor Sculpture Committee. John’s wife Molly is a native Abilenian and they have two daughters. In their free time, John and Molly both enjoy running. They are members of Heavenly Rest Episcopal where he is an usher and a team member of Breakfast on Beech Street, a volunteer program which serves a free breakfast and sack lunch each weekday morning to anyone in the Abilene community who is in need.
