I know of no better place for young men and women to come and develop intellectually, emotionally, socially, and spiritually than a committed Christian higher education institution. As such, HSU exhibits this truly holistic approach to university studies through its commitment to "an education enlightened by faith" not only through the dedicated board, administration, faculty, and staff that are committed to impacting all areas of the marketplace in education, business and government with the Kingdom of God in Christ, but also through its student-body leaders. In my specialty area of graduate level medical education, I am constantly amazed at the nationally recognized level of scholarship and service present amidst my fellow colleagues, particularly in that they and their scholarly and research products, as well as community, professional, state, and national service are grounded upon Biblical principles. Collectively, this fosters an academic medical environment at the doctorate level, that I believe will produce the relevant Kingdom-minded leaders that our global era and post-modern generation are desperate for, even if unknowingly, as we contend to the world “Christ in you, the hope of glory (Col. 1:27).”
