Dr. Randall Maurer

Dr. Randall J. Maurer, professor of psychology and family
ministry and program director for the Master of Arts in Family Ministry
Program, also teaches for the HSU Department of Psychology. He is a graduate of
Stetson University where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in religion. He
completed his graduate studies at the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary,
receiving the Master of Divinity and the Doctor of Philosophy in counseling psychology.
Maurer is a licensed marriage and family therapists and is a
Clinical Member and Approved Supervisor of the American Association for
Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT). He is also an approved supervisor by the
Texas Board of Examiners for Marriage and Family Therapists.
He has served the local church as a family
counselor and pastor. Maurer has provided clinical and chaplaincy services for
many years at an in-patient psychiatric center in Abilene.
