Holland School of Sciences and Mathematics Honors Award Winners at Annual Event

(Abilene, Texas) The Holland School of Sciences and Mathematics held its banquet and awards ceremony on April 13.  

The Holland Medals were presented to seniors and recent graduates at the event. Cameron Ford, a senior biology major from Flower Mount, won the Holland Medal in Biology. Tristen Tellman, a senior biochemistry and molecular biology major from Amarillo, won the Holland Medal in Chemistry. The Holland Medal in Environmental Science went to Isaiah Longoria, a senior environmental science major from Abilene. The Holland Medal in Mathematics went to Kaitlyn Key, a senior mathematics major from Colleyville. Lorenzo Martinez, a communication sciences and disorders major from Abilene, was awarded the Holland Medal in Communication Sciences and Disorders.   

The Holland Scholarships were also awarded at the ceremony.  Recipients included Amanda Glover, a junior biology major from Paradise; Anthony Kocher, a junior biology major from Mansfield; Saleena Ramzanali, a junior biology major from Hawley; Kami Jones, a sophomore biochemistry and molecular biology major from Comfort; Kelsie Guinn, a junior communication sciences and disorders major from Big Spring; Amanda Smith, a senior majoring in social work from Abilene; Aaron Barker, a junior geological sciences major from Dyess AFB; Tracy Desrochers, a sophomore mathematics major from Abilene; and Sunny Helms, a junior mathematics major from Quitaque.  

David Offner, a sophomore majoring in computer science from Fort Worth, received the David Scott Holland, Jr. Scholarship in Mathematics. Colton Spears, a senior geolocial sciences major from Pflugerville, received the Terrence Hunter Holland Scholarship in Geology
