Dr. Joseph Bailey


Dr. Joseph Bailey, associate professor of communication, joined the HSU Department of Communication in the fall of 2004. Bailey received his bachelor’s degree from Hardin-Simmons University and then continued his education at Abilene Christian University with a master’s degree in communication. He completed his doctoral work at Texas A&M University with a Ph.D. in communication, focusing on rhetoric and public affairs.

Bailey lives in Abilene with his wife and three boys. He enjoys playing guitar at church, photography, and hunting.
