Hi, my name is Diana Salinas and I am the Hardin-Simmons Admissions Consultant for Out-of State and International Students and Assistant Director of Admissions and Recruiting.
I was raised in the small town of Comanche, Texas. I became part of the HSU family back in 2001 and haven’t left since. During my time here at HSU I played basketball as a Cowgirl. I graduated in the spring of 2005 with a degree in All-Level Physical Education. In the fall of 2005, I decided to begin work on my master’s. I also became a graduate assistant with our basketball program. I later graduated with my master’s degree in Sports Recreation and Management and am a part time assistant coach for the basketball team. I am married and have three wonderful children. While I was here as a student and an athlete, God helped me find a way to glorify Him and to be a witness to different groups of people through a sport that I love most, basketball. I continue to exuberate that same passion now as a an employee of the Enrollment Services. Hardin-Simmons has truly been a blessing to my life. This place is home to me and the memories I have will last forever.
I can remember the first time I visited HSU….I fell in love. The campus was beautiful, the people were so genuine and nice, and the professors were caring. Being part of a team, allowed me to jump into a group of friends I didn’t know I already had. These friends were all different and each year we added more and more friends to the group. I could tell you a million stories about the fun we had, the heartaches we endured, and the success we shared. These friendships will last a lifetime.
God has a plan for you. He will lead you in the right path. I pray that I can be of great assistance to you and your family as you make your decisions. I look forward to working with you.
