BENEFITS FOR EMPLOYEES--AFLAC Supplemental Insurance  AFLAC Web Site

There are several insurance plans available through Payroll Deduction: Cancer, Intensive Care, Hospital Indemnity, Accident, Short Term Disability, Personal Recovery Plus, Dental Insurance and Personal Sickness Indemnity. Each plan is briefly described below. All AFLAC plans pay regardless of other insurance. Payroll rates may be continued when employment terminates if premium has been deducted for one month or more. The policies are guaranteed-renewable for life; rates may be changed only by class. You may choose Family or Individual coverage.  Also remember that AFLAC premiums are eligible for the tax benefits of the “flex” plan.

CANCER The American Cancer Society estimates that one out of every three Americans now living will eventually have cancer. They also estimate that nearly 100,000 more lives could be saved through early detection and treatment. But, cancer treatment is expensive. Even if you have excellent health insurance, it probably will not cover 100% of the medical costs of cancer, much less the multitude of indirect expenses usually incurred with a serious cancer illness. Our Cancer Expense
Protection Policy provides benefits to assist you in meeting the high cost of cancer treatment. Some important features of the plan are:
Wellness Benefit per covered person per year
Transportation and Lodging Expenses if only available treatment is more than 100 miles from your home
         Hospice and Home Health Benefits
         Pays regardless of other insurance
Optional plans available to suite your needs

INTENSIVE CARE If a member of your family is critically ill or injured – or if they have a heart attack – they will probably be taken to a Hospital Intensive Care Unit (ICU) or Coronary Intensive Care Unit where complex equipment and specially trained personnel can provide the necessary treatments. These Units are among the most expensive hospital facilities. Our Hospital Intensive Care policy is designed to provide benefits to help meet these expenses. It pays…regardless of other insurance or the actual charges…when you or a covered member of your family is in Intensive Care, Coronary Intensive Care or Neonatal Intensive Care. Some important features of the plan are:
Ambulance trip to Intensive Care Unit Benefit
         Organ Transplant Benefit
