Leadership students should be leaders in the classroom and in extracurricular activities. Students are expected to maintain acceptable grade point averages in their college coursework and also be involved in organizations on campus, in their churches, and/or in the community.

The Leadership Studies Program is not a "go to class and do your work" type of minor. We are looking for people who want to make differences in their communities and in the lives of others. Leadership and teamwork skills are developed as much through outside-of-class service learning and experiential learning activities as they are in the classroom.

Students in the Leadership Studies Program should be actively involved with the activities and events of the program--both inside and outside of the classroom.

Research findings suggest that leaders exceed their peers in energy, drive, self-movitation, goals, and achievement. Leadership Studies Program students are likewise expected to exceed their peers on those characteristics.

If you are the type of person who can and does make things happen, we are looking for you!
