Faculty members teaching in the Honors Program have submitted course proposals that are approved by the Honors Council.

They are experienced, classroom professionals who participate in the Honors Program because they like working collaboratively with bright, inquisitive students in a small classroom environment and on an individual basis, sharing the knowledge of their areas of specialization.

Honors instructors appreciate the opportunity of working on challenging topics, or investing in research options that are often prohibitive within the framework of the regular classroom.

Members of the Honors faculty understand the varied interests and objectives of exceptional students and are dedicated to maintaining an educational environment conducive to socially responsible self-fulfillment.

Music Education, Choral Emphasis, Piano Principal, Honors Minor

I love being in the Music School here at HSU where I am challenged to work hard. One of the things I really cherish about HSU is the small class size.
