Randall J. Maurer, Ph.D.

Dr. Maurer came to Hardin-Simmons University in 1993 and joined the Logsdon faculty in 1998. Previously he directed HSU’s Family Psychology Center and before that the Clinical Pastoral Training Program at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Dr. Maurer is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and an approved supervisor for the Texas and American Associations of Marriage and Family Therapy. He currently serves as a co-researcher for a national research project involving the study of the effectiveness of the clinical supervision of Marriage and Family Therapy interns.

Dr. Maurer is a frequent speaker at professional workshops and in churches in the area of family ministry. He has also served the local church as a family counselor and pastor.
