James L. Heflin, Th.D.

Dr. Heflin came to Logsdon from the position of General Secretary of the European Baptist Convention with a rich background of pastoral ministry and theological education. After pastoring churches for 21 years, Dr. Heflin taught preaching at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary for 14 years. Dr. Heflin has authored or co-authored two books: Proclaim the Word (1985) and Old Wine in New Wineskins (1997) as well as contributed articles and lessons to various publications. He currently serves on the board of directors for Worldconnex.

Dr. Heflin’s interest in missions has led him to teach in a variety of international contexts, including Bolivia, Guatemala, Mexico, England, Germany, France, Norway, Switzerland, and Bulgaria. He has served churches as pastor or interim pastor in Louisiana, Texas, England and Germany.
