Dr. Ellis came to Logsdon in 1996 from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, where he was on the Old Testament faculty for ten years. Dr. Ellis has written an elementary Hebrew grammar and numerous articles for books, journals, and periodicals. He currently serves as the book review editor for the Review & Expositor and on the Theological Education Committee of the Baptist General Convention of Texas. Dr. Ellis has published Learning to Read Biblical Hebrew, An Introductory Grammar (Baylor Press, 2006), along with numerous articles for books, journals, and periodicals. He currently serves as the book review editor for the Review & Expositor and on the Dean’s Council of the Vocational Theological Education Committee of the Baptist General Convention of Texas.
Dr. Ellis has been a pastor and often serves as a preacher, Bible conference speaker, and interim pastor. Dr. Ellis has also engaged in various international missions projects and theological education in Brazil, England, Nigeria, and Romania. He and his wife have two school-aged children.
