• Sports Ministry

    In conjunction with the graduate Theology department, the Sport Ministry program will train, equip, and send Disciples of Christ to obey the two greatest commandments (Mt. 22:34-40) and live the great commission (Mt. 28:16) in the world using the global language of sport. Graduates can pursue careers working with parachurch sport ministry organizations such as:

    • Fellowship of Christian Athletes
    • Athletes in Action
    • Coaches Outreach
    • Competitive Edge International
    • Young Men's Christian Association
    • Sports Ambassadors
    • Infinity Sports

    Also, more churches and camps are seeing the need for Sport Ministry Programs where students can find Sport Ministry Director and staff jobs. Students can discover a career as a sport missionary working with mission agencies all across the world. The curriculum is designed to prepare students to be highly marketable through internships and applied courses.

    Students within the Sport Ministry track will also complete a total of 37 hours.. Besides the four cores classes, these students are required to take:

    • Nine hours of elective coursework from Logsdon School of Theology

    • Missions and Cross-Cultural Ministry
    • General Ministry Studies
    • Educational Ministry
    • Family Ministry
    • Biblical Studies
    • Sport Ministry Programs (3 hours)
    • Sport Psychology with a Christian Worldview (3 hours)
    • 12 hours of KSPR electives
