JYA program at Cambridge University in Cambridge, England.

Each year HSU is invited to send students to Cambridge University to participate in their Junior Year Abroad (JYA) program. The JYA program is a full year academic program which extends from the first of October to the end of June and allows you to earn up to 34 credit hours toward your degree at HSU. You would be taking classes along with other Cambridge students from various colleges that make up the Cambridge University system; living in a dorm on the Homerton College campus; and having access to all of the Cambridge University student facilities. Students accepted are required to have a SAT 1 score of 1,400 in Critical Reading and Mathematics and a combined score of 2100 or an ACT score of 32 out of 36 in English and Math and a GPA of 3.65 on your work here at HSU.

The cost of studying there is somewhat more than HSU but you would be able to use all of your financial aid that you normally receive here with the possibility of additional assistance. Two inter-term periods of approximately four weeks would allow you to travel on your own throughout Europe.

This is a wonderful opportunity for you to study for a year at a truly world-class university. If you feel this program may be for you please contact me at (325) 671-2222 or through my email address: alandwer@hsutx.edu and I will meet with you and assist you in the application process. You are welcome to contact me anytime for additional information as well. Applications need to be in by February 1, 2014.
