Bachelor of Fine Arts
Hardin-Simmons University offers several degrees for the serious student of theatre. The Bachelor of Arts and the Bachelor of Behavioral Sciences degrees in theatre provide a well-rounded theatre education for most students. These degrees allow the student to pursue all major fields of study in theatre while also allowing the student to minor in a related or unrelated field. The Bachelor of Fine Arts degree provides a greater depth and breadth of study for the student who is preparing for professional career in theatre or preparing for graduate study in the pursuit of a Masters of Fine Arts. The BFA in Theatre requires the student to select one of three tracks of emphasis: Musical Theatre, Performance, or Design/Theatre Technology. No minor is required with the BFA. Students are required to audition for admittance into the BFA program.
