BM in Worship Studies

The BM in Worship Studies is designed to prepare the student for careers related to music in worship, whether in the local church setting or in related fields.Students will learn, through classroom studies, ensemble participation, private study, and field experience, competencies to prepare them for an exciting career in music and worship ministries.Topics covered in class include sound technology, worship planning and leadership, worship music history, church administration, and the relationship between church music and culture.Students also study conducting and education, topics directly applicable to the degree field. This is a professional degree designed to prepare the student for possible advanced studies in church music.
