New Song

New Song is a contemporary Christian ensemble sponsored by Hardin-Simmons University that performs across Texas, from Laredo to El Paso and all points in between. They have played in a variety of venues; everything from juvenile detention centers to the Baptist General Convention of Texas. Their music is a unique mixture of Gospel, contemporary Christian, and even some jazz and rock.

The ensemble consists of vocalists, piano, guitars, drums, and horn section (trumpet, trombone and saxes). The group is made up entirely of HSU students who have been selected by audition.

New Song is directed by Dr. Jeffrey Cottrell.
