Dr. Correa teaching Spanish 1402
The HSU Department of Foreign Languages welcomed Dr. Maite Correa Domínguez, who had the opportunity of being interviewed by our students from Spanish 1402B and Spanish 2302B. Dr. Correa is associate professor of Applied Linguistics at Colorado State University. She holds a Ph.D. in applied linguistics and a master’s degree in Hispanic linguistics from the University of Arizona. She teaches foreign language teaching methodology, research methods, history of the Spanish language, introduction to Spanish linguistics and Spanish phonetics and phonology. Our students had the opportunity of having Dr. Correa share her knowledge of Spanish grammar.
If you have had at least 1 year of Spanish and would like to study in Salamanca for a semester, please contact Dr. Hall.
Spanish majors and minors (and alumni in town) are invited to attend monthly meetings for study, enrichment and FUN! Don't miss the food and fun on March 18th, 2015—We will have a movie night (place TBA).

A new degree certifying you to teach Spanish EC-12 is being required by the state, and the new tests will reflect that degree. HSU is in the process of updating the catalog to reflect the new requirements. If you are currently a Spanish Education major, be alert to a meeting to be held soon to give you updated information.
