Street Addresses

For emergency purposes, buildings on the HSU campus were recently identified with a physical street address. The street addresses are clearly marked on the front of buildings. In an emergency, you may have to call the 9-1-1 emergency services. The phone number and the street address you are calling from should appear on the dispatcher's 9-1-1 emergency screen. Therefore, the emergency services will arrive at the building you are calling from unless you tell them otherwise. Not all of the phones on campus have this identification service with the 9-1-1 dispatcher. Additionally, the 9-1-1 service may sometimes be called with a cell phone. Therefore, it is a good idea to verify with the dispatcher which HSU building you are in, by street address. Consequently, you should memorize your building number in the event that you must call 9-1-1. Also, remember that if you must dial for emergency services from a campus phone, you must dial the prefix 9 to get the off-campus line. Finally, please note that the HSU street address are for emergencies and are not mailing addresses (including services like UPS).
