Three Generations Establish One Million-Dollar Endowed Scholarship to Honor Judge and Mrs. C.M. Caldwell

Abilene, TX— Hardin-Simmons students will have another opportunity to help fund their education thanks to the generosity of three generations of the Caldwell family. Recent gifts exceeding one million dollars were given for a new endowed scholarship in honor of Judge and Mrs. C.M. Caldwell by their grandchildren, great-grandchildren and their families.

The official name of the scholarship will be the Judge and Mrs. C.M. Caldwell Endowed Scholarship and the funds will go to deserving students that show promise.

The Caldwell family has been important to the University for generations and it was through their support that HSU was able to build the Caldwell Fine Arts Building, and later renovate it to its current state.
