Hardin-Simmons Holds Memorial Chapel Service

Hardin-Simmons University held the annual memorial service on Tuesday in Logsdon Chapel.

HSU President Dr. Lanny Hall welcomed students, faculty, staff, and friends of the University saying, “We gather here as a community of faith to honor and treasure the lives that have passed on this year.” 

He discussed the importance of remembering loved ones while continuing to see hope in the future. “They will be missed but we draw strength from each other and the promise that our faith brings,” he said.

Provost and Chief Academic Officer Dr. Thomas Brisco said it was important to remember family and friends of HSU and invited members to stand as their loved one’s name was called. The event also featured musical performances by Dr. Mark Puckett and the Concert Choir.
