Fine Arts Awards Ceremony to Feature Re-Dedication of Recital Hall April 12

Event to celebrate student accomplishments and newly renovated Woodward-Dellis Recital Hall

(Abilene, Texas) The Annual Awards Ceremony for College of Fine Arts students on April 12 will serve as a re-dedication of the newly renovated Woodward-Dellis Recital Hall. The public is invited as well as students, faculty, alumni, and friends.  

The event begins at 7 p.m. in the recital hall. The event will feature five honors performers, recognition of two faculty retirees, and awards for music, art, and theatre students.

“The Annual Awards ceremony is an opportunity to recognize our top College of Fine Arts students,” said Dr. Robert Tucker, Dean of the College of Fine Arts   

The evening will also feature performances by the Concert Choir and the Trombone Choir.

The renovated hall will be re-dedicated at the event, which will include a brief history of the hall and recognition of donors. The dedication will feature a performance of the original Dedication Hymn by Dr. Talmage W. (Jack) Dean, the former Dean of the School of Music.

Renovations at Woodward-Dellis include new audience seating, updated foyer and restrooms facilities, new electronics, new carpet, and new interior paint.

Faculty members Dr. Jaynne Middleton and Dr. Charles Coltman will be honored for their 41 and 19 years of service respectively.
