Luis Juarez was the first speaker in the new chapel series “Diversity: Seeing Color in A Colorblind World” on Tuesday, February 2nd in Behrens Auditorium.

Luis Juarez is the Missions and Spiritual Life Director at Baptist University of the Americas. The Baptist University of the Americas also sent a praise and worship team to sing in the Hardin-Simmons chapel service.

Juarez spoke about his childhood as the child of preacher who moved to many different places and said because of that he recognized “the reality of a diverse group of people is exactly what Heaven will look like.”

He connected the gospel message with the new series about color blindness and concluded, “Jesus is not colorblind. The Bible invites us not to ignore the differences between us, but learn from one another.”
