A Midsummer Night's Dream Comes to Van Ellis Theater

Shakespeare at its best at Hardin-Simmons University

Catch this classic play by William Shakespeare performed by the students of Hardin-Simmons October 2-4 at 7:30 pm and October 5 at 2 pm.

Lee Trull of the Dallas Theater Center directs this rendition of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Trull has been at Hardin-Simmons teaching a class on Shakespeare and directing this play since the beginning of the semester.
On directing Trull said, “Midsummer is a play about love, stupidity, dancing, fighting, bad acting, fairies and why we sometimes need to go to the forest.” The performance at HSU breathes new life into this Shakespeare classic.
